Bellagio

Bellagio also known as the Pearl of the Lake is situated on the watershed peninsula that divides the two branches of the lake.
Bellano

Bellano is an important centre situated on the eastern shore of the lake, around the mouth of the river Pioverna, at the beginning of the Valsassina valley.

Como

The splendid boat trip from Menaggio to Como, that takes 2 hours, gives you the possibility to admire Lake Como’s beautiful villas which are situated mainly on this branch of the lake and are difficult to see from the road.
Dongo

Dongo is situated on the north western shore of the lake on the delta formed by the river Albano at the doors of the Albano Valley.
Gravedona

Gravedona is an important centre on the north-western shore of the lake, rich with history and art. In the IV an V century it was the centre of spreading Christianity in the upper part of the lake.

Isola Comacina

Not far from the shore, in front of the towns Ossuccio and Sala Comacina, lies the Comacina Island.
Lecco

The town is situated at the lower end of the eastern branch of the lake and stretches along the eastern bank of the river Adda.
Lenno

The town Lenno lies around the beautiful bay called "Baia di Venere", formed by the peninsula Lavedo.

Piona

The boat ride to the Piona Abbey gives you the possibility of admiring the beautiful mountain scenery around the northern part of the lake.
Tremezzo

Tremezzo extends itself between the shores of the lake and the beautiful hilly hinterland at the foot of Monte Crocione.
Varenna

The boat trip from Menaggio to Varenna gives you one of the most spectacular views of Lake Como as the boat crosses the middle of the lake, right there where its three 3 branches meet.

From Menaggio to Porlezza

This varied itinerary leads through a part of the beautiful Parco Val Sanagra and through the Nature Reserve Lago di Piano; from Bene Lario to Porlezza it follows the traces of an ex railway.

The Antica Strada Regina

The Antica Strada Regina, built by the romans, was an important road connection along the west side of the lake, between Como and the alpine passes.
La Crocetta

La Crocetta (450 m) is a little cross located on top of a hill above Menaggio from where can enjoy a lovely view of Menaggio and the central lake area.
San Domenico

The little chapel of S. Domenico (800 m) is situated near Breglia straight over the lake. From it you have a spectacular view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Lake Piano

The small Lake Piano, situated in the Val Menaggio between Lake Como and Lake Lugano, is a protected natural oasis and is a breeding place for many types of water birds.

Villa Mylius Vigoni

In 1829 Mylius bought a villa on the slopes above Menaggio which he made more attractive and bigger during the years to place his rich collection of paintings, statues and rich furniture.
Villa Carlotta

Villa Carlotta is situated in the town Tremezzo. It was built at the end of XVII century by the Milanese marquis Giorgio Clerici in a natural basin between lake and mountains.
Villa Balbianello

Villa Del Balbianello is situated at Lenno at the far end of the peninsula Lavedo. The peninsula is covered with woods and reaches far into the lake.
