The Antica Strada Regina, built by the romans, was an important road connection along the west side of the lake, between Como and the alpine passes.

La Crocetta
La Crocetta (450 m) is a little cross located on top of a hill above Menaggio from where can enjoy a lovely view of Menaggio and the central lake area.

San Domenico
The little chapel of S. Domenico (800 m) is situated near Breglia straight over the lake. From it you have a spectacular view of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Villa Mylius Vigoni
In 1829 Mylius bought a villa on the slopes above Menaggio which he made more attractive and bigger during the years to place his rich collection of paintings, statues and rich furniture.

Villa Carlotta
Villa Carlotta is situated in the town Tremezzo. It was built at the end of XVII century by the Milanese marquis Giorgio Clerici in a natural basin between lake and mountains.

Villa Balbianello
Villa Del Balbianello is situated at Lenno at the far end of the peninsula Lavedo. The peninsula is covered with woods and reaches far into the lake.
