By car:

From MILAN (about 80km)
Take the Laghi freeway and then the A9 for Como – Chiasso. Take the exit COMO LAGO (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland). When you reach a traffic circle, follow the signs for Menaggio and take the SS340.

From LUGANO (about 27 km)
Take the exit LUGANO NORD and follow the signs for Gandria – St.Moritz. Once through Lugano, follow the signs for Menaggio. After passing the customs in Gandria follow the SS.340 until Menaggio.

By train:

FROM ITALY
From Milan Central Station train direction Chiasso up to Como (Como San Giovanni Station). From the square in front of the station, the bus line C10 of the ASF leaves about every hour for Menaggio (32 km). Tickets can be purchased at the bar or at the newsstand at the station.

Or
From Milan Central Station train direction Sondrio to Varenna – Esino. Go to the pier of Varenna which is about 200m from the station. From here take the boat or ferry to Menaggio.

Or
From Milano Cadorna Station by train to Como Lago. Then from Piazza Matteoti (30 m from the station Como Lago) starts about every hour the bus line C10 of the ASF to Menaggio (32 km).
At about 100 m from Como Lago station, there is the landing stage from where boats and hydrofoils leave for Menaggio.

FROM SWITZERLAND
Basel – Luzern – Lugano line
From Lugano, in Via Campo Marzio, the ASF bus line C12 leaves every two hours for Menaggio (27 km). It is suggested to take a cab from the station to the stop in Via Campo Marzio.

By plane:

FROM MALPENSA
By Car:
The distance from Malpensa airport to Menaggio is 92 Km.
Follow the signs for the A8 freeway towards Milan, then take the A9 Como – Chiasso. Take the exit COMO LAGO (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland).
When you reach a traffic circle follow the signs for Menaggio.

By Train:
From termianl 1 airport take “Malpensa Express” to Saronno. Here take the Trenord train to COMO LAGO. From here take the bus C10 to Menaggio (the bus stop is 20 m. from the station), or the boat (100 m. from the station).

FROM LINATE
By Car:
The distance from the airport to Menaggio is about 120 km.
Follow the signs for the Laghi freeway and then take the A9 Como – Chiasso.
Take the exit COMO LAGO (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland).
At the traffic circle turn left and follow the signs for Menaggio.

In Train and Bus:
SHUTTLEBUS LINATE – MILAN CENTRAL STATION
Bus Stam every 20 min. duration of the route about 25 min.

Milano Centrale – Como S.Giovanni Station

From Como Staz. S.Giovanni station, bus line C10 to Menaggio about every hour.

From the station of Varenna – Esino ferry to Menaggio
The pier is 150 meters from the station.
The ferry runs every hour and the journey takes about 15 minutes.

FROM ORIO AL SERIO
By Car:
The distance from Orio al Serio airport to Menaggio is approximately 125 km.
Follow the A4 to Milan and then in Milan take the A9 (Laghi).
Follow the direction Como Chiasso.
Take the exit COMO LAGO (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland).
At the traffic circle follow the signs for Menaggio.

By public transport:
Bus service to the railway station Fs Bergamo: operated by ATB tel. 035 236026
from 6.05 a.m. to 00.15 a.m. (tickets can be bought at the airport or at the appropriate distributors).

Train from Bergamo FS to Varenna-Esino
You have to change to Lecco

From Varenna – Esino ferry to Menaggio, one run every hour, the duration of the route is about 15 min.

FROM AGNO
By Car:
Take the LUGANO NORD exit and follow the signs for Gandria – St.Moritz. Once through Lugano, follow the signs for Menaggio. After passing through customs in Gandria follow the SS.340 to Menaggio.

By Train:
Line Basel – Luzern – Lugano
From Lugano in Via Campo Marzio leaves about every two hours the bus line C12 of the ASF to Menaggio (27 km). It is advisable to take a cab from the station to the stop in Via Campo Marzio.
