Not far from the shore, opposite the villages of Ossuccio and Sala Comacina, is Isola Comacina, the only one on the lake with the white 17th century church of San Giovanni.
The island is located in the area called Zoca de l’Oli, where the mild climate allows the olive tree to grow.
